Bobby Bare

Rating:
Bobby Bare The twenty-third issue of the subscription to the Country Music Greats Magazine features Bobby Bare. This issue also features articles on Johnny Duncan, Bonnie Owens, John Conlee, and much more...

Teaser from the Cover Story:

Bobby Bare started writing songs early in his career. In fact, he wrote the song that launched his recording career, "All American Boy". Of course, you won't generally see that song title among his list of hits because the name on the record was Bill Parsons. That's a long story that's been told many times, and I might tell it again later in this article. For now, I want to write about Bobby Bare and the great songs he has recorded over the years. From the beginning, Bobby Bare was a singer who loved to hear a great song and even more, loved recording one. "I always love hangin' out with songwriters," he says. "I've never been one for hangin' around the stars of the day." During the early days of his career, most of the time in California, he spent a lot of time with future songwriting greats Hank Cochran and Harlan Howard.
